Leigh Ann Ross
Leigh Ann Ross is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi where she graduated from Vicksburg High School in 2005. She attended Mississippi State University where she earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2010. While at MSU, Ms. Ross was a member of the symphonic band, flute ensemble, and Famous Maroon Band Color Guard. She was also the co-founder of Statement Independent Winter Guard who was the Mississippi Indoor Association Independent A gold medalist in their first two seasons. In 2019, she completed a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Belhaven University. Ms. Ross has been teaching band and color guard for the past twelve years. During this time, her color guard ensembles and concert bands have received consistent superior ratings and best in class awards. Since 2010, her winter guard ensembles have been Mississippi Indoor Association medalists nine times, Winter Guard International Regional Finalists, and made their initial appearance at Winter Guard International World Championships in 2017. Outside of band, Ms. Ross enjoys spending time with her nieces, Sydney and Ann Barrett, and her 3 year old pit bull, Windsor.
